Biography

Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Long served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during the first Gulf War.  After discharge, he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Anesthesia, respectively, at Columbia University in New York City.  He earned his post-graduate Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree at Barry University in 2015 in Hollywood, Florida and is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Catholic University in D.C.

Dr. Long has over 12 years of experience working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.  His work experience includes New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a nationally recognized leader in cancer care.  He is an active member in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Sigma Theta Tau and the Association for Radiology and Imaging Nursing (ARIN).  He is an ARIN Capnography Taskforce Member which creates guidelines, practice recommendations and simulation airway/capnography workshops for its members.
