Lori Beck, DNP

Biography

Dr. Beck has a strong interest, and credentials, in both advanced clinical practice and graduate nursing education. She has experience both as a pediatric and adult nurse practitioner. She has worked in hematology and oncology most of her career with a new interest working with the breast surgeons. Volunteering in New Orleans after Katrina, was a life changing for her and inspired her to pursue her DNP in hospital disaster planning.

Dr. Beck has enjoyed a focus on instructional endeavors as well, beginning as a staff RN with a history of serving as a clinical preceptor. She has been adjunct faculty for Indiana University's nursing program and a visiting lecturer and clinical coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Indianapolis. Instructional topics in her past experience include pathophysiology, gerontology, pharmacology and clinical mentorship.  Significantly, she has a rich history of both clinical and didactic instruction in advanced physical assessment.

She is married with two children and two dogs.
