New Student Orientation

Congratulations on your decision to attend Marian University! The next four years will be among the most exciting and memorable of your life.

Your next step is to attend one of our New Student Orientation programs. During Orientation, you will learn everything you'll need to know for your transition to Marian and how to thrive here as a student. You'll also register for your first semester of classes and get to know other new students, current students, and faculty.

Students starting classes in August will be able to register for one of our summer programs beginning in January. New Student Orientation programs this summer will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, May 9, 2024 (one-day Orientation)
  • Wednesday-Thursday, June 5-6, 2024 (two-day overnight Orientation)
  • Thursday-Friday, June 20-21, 2024 (two-day overnight Orientation)
  • Thursday, July 11, 2024 (one-day Orientation)
    • Live Spanish interpretation will be offered at this program for parents and guests.
  • Thursday, July 25, 2024 (Virtual Orientation) - Only available to international & out-of-state students
  • Tuesday, July 30, 2024 (one-day Orientation)
  • Wednesday, July 31, 2024 (Transfer day)

*An orientation fee is applied to the first semester bill for all incoming students, which covers meals, housing, and programming during orientation programs and Welcome Week. A discounted rate of $95 will apply to all students who register prior to July 1.

During New Student Orientation, you will:

  • Connect with your future classmates, current students, faculty, and staff.
  • Hear from faculty about what to expect in your classes.
  • Find out about student services and resources that will help you succeed.
  • Meet with your academic advisor and register for classes.
  • Have of your questions answered.
  • Ensure you're fully prepared to start your journey at Marian University.
