Evan Hawkins to serve as Executive Director of Facilities and Procurement

Evan HawkinsMarian University announced today that Evan Hawkins has been hired to serve as Executive Director of Facilities and Procurement. Hawkins will serve as the lead agent for all physical infrastructures on campus. He will be the primary point-of-contact for all senior administration on matters related to facilities and facilities operations, including development and management of procurement processes, inclusive of policy development and implementation.  Hawkins will report to the Senior Vice President for Personnel, Finance, Facilities, and Technology.

Hawkins comes to Marian University from Tindley Accelerated Schools, Inc. in Indianapolis, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer. He previously held leadership positions with Indiana Department of Correction and the Law Offices of Scot W. Overdorf and Associates, P.C. He earned a bachelor’s degree from IUPUI, and an M.B.A. from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management.

“With construction planned for a new building to house the Byrum School of Business, and additional facilities for academics, dining, and athletics on the horizon, Marian University continues to grow at a remarkable pace,” Greg Ginder,  Senior Vice President for Personnel, Finance, Facilities, and Technology, said. “Having an experienced leader to oversee new construction, while managing the maintenance of our existing infrastructure, is critical to our future success.
