While students may have headed home for summer, we are wasting no time readying the campus for their return in the fall! The construction of Alumni Hall, Marian University’s new student center, is moving quickly and is scheduled for completion in August 2014. As of May 21, plumbing, electrical rough-ins, and roof installation have been completed.
Projects scheduled in the coming weeks include:
- inside framing
- exterior masonry
- fireplace construction
Students are eager for Alumni Hall to open. Becca Wagner ’15, clinical laboratory science major says, “It is funny to think that the foundation started as a pile of dirt and now there is an actual building there. I am excited to have a new place to study, and having Starbucks on campus will be nice.”
Marian University will officially open Alumni Hall in August. The ribbon cutting will be a special part of the 2014 Homecoming festivities and takes place on Saturday, October 18.
