Tour Religious Art on Campus

by Katie Bradley | Apr 03, 2014

St. Francis StatueA new brochure produced by the Office of Mission Effectiveness serves as a guide to religious art on campus, listing each piece and mapping out where it is located on display.

“Marian University’s Catholic and Franciscan heritage is seen in the religious artwork throughout campus. You are invited to visit our sacred spaces and be inspired by what you will find on your journey,” said Sr. Jean Marie Cleveland, OSF ’64, vice president for mission effectiveness.

Artwork includes everything from the Saint Francis statue which arrived on campus in 1941, to the Mosaics of the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, which were complete in 2013 as a part of the new Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences.
