Inaugural Marian University Honor Band Happening February 8-9

The Marian University Department of Music will host the Inaugural Marian University Honor Band on the Marian University campus on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9.

More than 60 of Indiana’s finest high school band students will come together for two days to rehearse and perform a Saturday evening concert in the Marian University Theatre in Marian Hall.

Students will audition for seating in the Honor Band on Friday evening. Following the auditions, Honor Band participants will rehearse on the stage. Friday evening will conclude with a concert by the Marian University Band at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, the Honor Band students will rehearse from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and present a concert for the Indianapolis community at 7 p.m.

Admission for both the Friday performance by the Marian University Band and the Saturday performance by the Honor Band are free.We hope you will join us!
