President Elsener, Football Team Prominently Featured in The Indianapolis Star

by John Armitage | Nov 27, 2012
In only four years, head coach Ted Karras takes team to a playoff berth.
President Elsener is quoted in a story in the November 18 Indianapolis Star about the football team. Student-athlete Richard Parrish is also featured in a great photograph. The team leaves today for the first game of the NAIAChampionship Series. The four-years young Marian University football team is headed to a playoff game on Saturday, November 20, 2010. The team will face the Ottawa University Braves in a game at 2:30 p.m. This is the first time the Knights have reached the playoffs, which is an extraordinary accomlishment given the team has only had a home field and stadium for two of those four years. Coach Ted Karras led the team to a 9-2 record, good enough for an 11th place ranking in the NAIA coaches' poll. Ticket and NAIA playoff information is available on theathletics web site.
