Knights Take First Cyclo-Cross National Championship

First national title in cyclo-cross gives the Knights cycling team its 17th national title.
The Marian University cycling team won its first-ever USA Cycling collegiate cyclo-cross national championship after another strong showing on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Madison, Wisconsin.   Kaitlin Antonneau (trailing teammate Coryn Rivera in this photo) took the women's D1 national title.   "I am so proud of these student-athletes," said head coach Dean Peterson, who won his ninth title as head coach. "We have worked so hard of the last few years and the fact that they all rode great races made this so special. Some of these student-athletes didn't have a stars-and-stripes jersey and now they have one."   Read the complete story.
