Marian University Hosts Education Debate on Campus

Evans Center for Health Sciences EntranceToday, Marian University’s School of Education and Exercise Science, in partnership with Central Indiana Education Alliance, presented “The Hearing,” a simulation of the debates surrounding Brown vs. the Board of Education, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

Held in the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences, debaters at the event included: Ms. Mary McCoy, from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis’ education office; Mr. Karega Rausch, from the Equity Project at Indiana University; Rev. Dr. Felipe Martinez, from Whitewater Valley Presbytery; and Rabbi Brett Krichiver, from the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.  

This event is a part of Education Weekend, which also includes a STEAM Day (STEM + Art) with interactive displays at the Keystone Fashion Mall on Saturday, May 17. Marian University will be represented by the Alan and Sue Leighton School of Nursing, the School of Education and Exercise Science, and the Office of Admissions.
