On Friday, November 9, the Office of Admission will host Nursing Encounter Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. High school students who are interested in becoming a nurse will have an opportunity to tour campus, meet the admission staff, nursing faculty, and students, and get a hands-on experience in our nursing labs. More than 40 students and their parents are expected to attend the event.
“Nursing Encounter Day provides an opportunity for the high school students to become acquainted with the rich learning experiences offered at Marian University, the friendliness of the students, faculty, and staff. The most memorable experience for the students who want to be a nurse is the opportunity to participate in the activities nurses perform in practice,” explains Anita Siccardi, dean of the School of Nursing.
For high school students interested in Marian University and the School of Nursing, another Nursing Encounter Day is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2013.To register for Nursing Encounter Day or a campus visit, sign upon our web siteor contact our campus guest coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org or 800.772.7264.
