by Tori Kincaid | Mar 19, 2013

On Friday, March 22, at 9 a.m., Marian University students across multiple disciplines will present their research at the Undergraduate Conference of Academic Research and Excellence in Scholarship. This groundbreaking event exemplifies our mission to be a Catholic university dedicated to excellent teaching and learning in the Franciscan and liberal arts tradition.

This event is sponsored by the School of Liberal Arts and James Norton, Ph.D., dean of the School of Liberal Arts, and was organized by an interdisciplinary committee of faculty members.

“The inaugural Undergraduate Conference of Academic Research and Excellence in Scholarship will be a unique opportunity for students from diverse academic disciplines to share intriguing questions and their journeys to find answers,” said Camp. “I encourage fellow students, faculty, and administrators to be a part of these conversations as we discover that searching for ‘truth’ is not always easy but is critical to being a life-long learner and informed citizens.”

According to Norton, “Their outstanding work exemplifies our Franciscan values and exercises responsible stewardship over one of our greatest resources—human knowledge.”

A schedule for the event is available on our web site. This event is open to the public at no charge, but registration is requested
