Update on Fire at Fisher Hall

by Mark Apple | Feb 20, 2014

As was widely reported by local news media, Fisher Hall on the Marian University campus was damaged by fire on the evening of Monday, February 17. The 17 people who were in the building rehearsing for an upcoming play – including students and an alumnus – escaped without injury and alerted local authorities about the fire.

At this time, the cause of the fire is still being investigated. All artwork and photography housed in the building were saved and secured.

Fisher Hall will remain closed over the next 4 weeks, including Spring Break. University officials will then determine if the building will be able to host classes, or if the temporary relocation of classes will continue further into the semester.
