Marian University Senior Show Gallery Hop Opens April 14

photo by Alex HodsonThe Marian University Senior Show Gallery Hop will feature the work of eight art department seniors: Sydney Shewmaker, Kacie Southerland, Hadeiyah Ameen, Veronica Belles, Alex Hodson, Cassie Sprinkle, Alex Perry, and Peter Hayes.

The graphic design, photography, art therapy, and fine art majors’ work will be on display in the Marian University Theater Lobby and the hallway of Fisher Hall from April 14- May 2 and a gallery hop reception will be held in both locations on April 17 from 4:00-6:30 p.m.

Pedal for Peace

What?
Pedal for Peace is a charity relay bicycling event that supports organizations locally and throughout the world that are committed to peace through education. The goal of PEDAL FOR PEACE is to build community around bicycling, champion a cause, and raise money to benefit the Interfaith Hunger Initiative, World Bicycle Relief, and Indy Cycloplex.

Where and When? September 28, 2013, at the Major Taylor Velodrome

Who? Teams of people who are interested in riding their bike on the Velodrome to raise awareness and funds for initatives that help people and support the local and global community. Team requirements: 3-10 members, raise $1000 minimum, all riders fill out waiver and pay registration fee on event day

How? Learn more at pedalforpeace.org and indycycloplex.com. Registration is now open, so begin recruiting your teams and contact potential donors. Team captains should attend the team captain rally on Friday, August 16, at 5:30pm.

As a sustainable and profitable cycling event, Pedal for Peace at the Major Taylor Velodrome builds community around bicycling, champions a cause, and raises money to benefit the Interfaith Hunger Initiative, World Bicycle Relief, and Indy Cycloplex.

Sponsorship Benefits

Associate yourself with a bicycle charity event in Indianapolis that demonstrates investment in local community and global affairs, and gain exposure for your name, brand, and offerings to the event demographic, which will include 300+ participants from around Indianapolis.

Gold: $2,000

  • Logo displayed most prominently on all promotional materials
  • Waived $1,000 fund raising requirement for one corporate team
  • 3-4 banners placed in MTV courtyard on event day
  • At least five (5) mentions on Indy Cycloplex Facebook and Twitter pages before, during, and after the event, using appropriate logo(s)
  • At least 5 mentions by announcer on PA system during event, and one hour of riding sponsored by your company/organization – announced thoroughly
  • Logo placed on event and venue websites with reciprocal link
  • Reserved space in event expo village [if applicable]

Silver: $1,000

  • Logo displayed prominently on all promotional materials
  • 2-3 banners placed in MTV courtyard on event day
  • At least three (3) mentions on Indy Cycloplex Facebook and Twitter pages before, during, and after the event, using appropriate logo(s)
  • At least three (3) mentions by announcer on PA system during event
  • Logo placed on event and venue websites with reciprocal link
  • Reserved space in event expo village [if applicable]

Bronze: $500

  • Logo displayed on promotional materials
  • 1-2 banners placed in MTV courtyard on event day
  • At least two (2) mentions on Indy Cycloplex Facebook and Twitter pages before, during, and after the event, using appropriate logo(s)
  • At least two (2) mentions by announcer on PA system during event
  • Logo placed on event and venue websites with reciprocal link
  • Reserved space in event expo village [if applicable]
