Role and Committee: Fyedka, Costume Committee
Age: 20
Class Year: Junior
Hometown: Fishers, IN
Major/Minor: Nursing/Pastoral Leadership
Favorite thing about the show: The Bar Scene. No, just kidding, I really appreciate how Tevye just talks to God throughout the show, and doesn’t really expect an audible answer. A lot of his comments and questions to God he can answer himself just by his familiarity with who God is and because of his exposure to the scriptures and traditions of his faith. I think this is a very real example of how to pray authentically to God. Oftentimes, God reveals himself to us most through what we already know about his nature. And here, Tevye doesn’t have the time or means to become the scholar on scripture that he desires to be, so he spends time getting to know God better with what knowledge he can, and does, have.
Favorite Thing about Marian University: Sometimes I just sit somewhere and watch the squirrels. They chase each other a good bit and are notorious for throwing nuts at people from the trees, which I think is pretty hilarious, even when it is me. Whenever I’ve done that though, someone typically walks by, starts a conversation, and will just casually join me in watching the squirrels. My favorite thing about Marian is that so many people here will take time out to enjoy the little things in creation like that.
Past Performance Experience: Live Stations of the Cross (Jesus), An Easter Pageant (Pontius Pilate),  Despicable Me children’s skit (Dave the Minion), It’s A Wonderful Life (Paper Boy), Jack and the Beanstalk (The Giant), Christmas at Greccio (St. Francis).

Class Year: 2021

Favorite thing about the show: The music, a lot of it feels very high energy even when the show is at the lowest of points. The background of the music gives it a very unique feeling as well.
Favorite Thing about Marian University: The people I've met, most of the people I run into on a daily basis strike me as a lot more cheerful and friendly than in High School. A lot of the time people will smile or say a casual "Hi," as I pass by them. It's just a lot more of a personable environment.

Role and Committee: Stage Manager
Age: 22
Class Year: Senior
Hometown: Westfield, IN
Major/Minor: Major in Art with a concentration in Art Therapy and minors in Psychology, Pastoral Leadership, and Art History
Favorite thing about the show: My favorite part about theater in general is seeing the process of character development each actor goes through as they receive direction and as they build towards the show. My favorite part about The Fiddler on the Roof is how it speaks to the dignity of every individual. It is a timeless concept that will always need to be shared.
Favorite Thing about Marian University: The best thing about Marian is the opportunity to be involved in a variety departments and activities on campus. Because of the small campus, everyone is needed to make the university what it is.
Past Performance Experience: I have stage-managed eight shows in the past threeyears, including five Marian shows, two children’s shows, and one Bobdirex show. My favorites being Marian University’s production of Little Shop of Horrors and The Addams Family and St. Luke Catholic School’s youth production of The Wizard of Oz.

Favorite thing about the show: I like the chorus parts that I am in where I do the singing, such as Sabbath Prayer and Sunrise Sunset.
Favorite Thing about Marian University: I think my favorite thing now about Marian University is theater. This is because you actually learn a lot being in a committee and singing and dancing is always a fun thing to do especially when you are having a hard day. I believe this to be so, because you get to come to theater and forget about how hard your day is by singing and dancing.

Class Year: Senior… again
Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
Major/Minor: Double major in Biology and Secondary Education with a minor in Global Studies
Favorite thing about the show: Even though this show is set almost 100 years ago, it can be still very relevant today; in the sense that, people understand and adapt to change in very different ways or not at all. I also really love all of the amazing and talented cast and crew that all have worked very hard to make this a great show.
Favorite Thing about Marian University: I love how I can be involved in so many different things. I feel like with most universities it can be a “pick one activity” kind of thing, but here it’s normal for people to be involved in many different activities.
