Looking for ways to leverage technology in your classroom or better engage your students? Faculty members, instructors, and students have access to a variety of technologies and resources designed to enhance teaching and learning.

Ed Tech Resources

Here are a few of the resources and services supported by Marian University's educational technologists:

  • AI in Education: A resource guide for all things Artificial Intelligence from the Marian University Library.
  • CanvasWhether teaching face-to-face, online, or in a hybrid classroom, leveraging Canvas is key to managing your course and communicating with students. Click here to see links, resources, and templates available to assist in using Canvas.
  • Course Evaluations & Surveys: This program, integrated into Canvas, allows students to complete end-of-course evaluations and instructors to view course evaluation results.
  • Faculty Success (Formerly known as Digital Measures): This software allows faculty to capture all activities related to their position as a faculty member. Data from this system will be used for university reports, P&T, website bios, etc.
  • Large-format PrintingIf you need a poster for a research presentation or art project, the Academic Commons can print up to 42" wide.
  • Poll Everywhere: This software allows you to poll your audience whether face-to-face or online.
  • Respondus:
    • Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor allow for a secure browser and recording of students as they complete their exams.
    • Respondus 4.0 provides the ability to create and manage exams that can be published directly to Canvas.
  • ScreenPalThis software allows you to create video tutorials by recording anything you have up on your screen or presentations via PowerPoint.
  • TurnItInProvides instructors and students a way to improve writing, check for plagiarism/AI writing, and efficiently grade a variety of assignment formats through easy integration with Canvas.
  • YujaThis software focuses on lecture or video capture, cloud hosting, and video integration with Canvas.
  • WebEx: This video conferencing tool allows you to collaborate with other participants in a live setting. Video, audio, and screen-sharing are all options.
