What to Include on Your Resume
Contact Information
Name, address, phone number, and e-mail
Objective
If you know exactly what type of job you are looking for, write an objective that will showcase the perfect match between you and an employer. Otherwise, leave this space blank.
Education
List this first if you are a student or recent graduate. If you have more work experience than education, this can be secondary.
Work Experience
List your position, employer, dates of employment, and skills learned or used. If you have more experiences than might fit on a resume, pick the most relevant.
Community Involvement
Employers like to see that you are involved and have leaderships experience. Include volunteering and college activities if you would like.
Certifications
If your job requires certifications, or they would be helpful for employment, list these also.
Skills
List any computer, language, or other skills related to the position.
