If Deidre Hellmich, Marian University senior and graphic design major, had to pick one word to describe her internship, it would be “fun!” As the exhibit graphic design intern at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis,  Deidre’s semester long internship not only gives her opportunities to see the collections at the Children’s Museum, but a real world experience in her major.

Deidre’s main responsibilities are to create daily signage for the museum and collaborate with other interns on how to make the museum friendly for all ages, from children to adults. Deidre feels her internship has confirmed her career choice in graphic design and has exposed her to how non-profit organizations operate and the importance of meeting deadlines.
