Knights fall at Ohio Dominican - 4/18/2009

 
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Marian College women's tennis team had its three-match winning streak snapped on Saturday at the hands of Ohio Dominican University, 0-9.
 
The Knights were unable to seize the momentum in any of the matches as they fell to 12-9 on the season.
 
Freshman Alyson O'Conner (Lebanon, Indiana/Lebanon) had her seven-match winning streak at No. 4 singles snapped, 4-6, 2-6. The reigning MCC No. 6 singles champion had a 12-match combined winning streak snapped as well. She now sits at 17-3 on the season.
 
Senior Michele Sizemore (New Albany, Indiana/New Albany) had her six-match winning streak at No. 3 singles snapped, 1-6, 6-4, 6-10. She now sits at 17-6 in her final campaign.
 
Sophomore Dana Reynolds (Lebanon, Indiana/Lebanon) fell at No. 1 singles, 3-6, 2-6, while freshman Maria Berry (Madison, Indiana/Shawe Memorial) fell at No. 2 singles, 3-6, 4-6.
 
Sophomore Alyssa Richard (Madison, Indiana/Shawe Memorial) fell at No. 5 singles, 1-6, 0-6, while freshman Samantha Jo Crump (Indianapolis/Scecina Memorial) fell at No. 6 singles, 4-6, 2-6.
 
Sizemore and O'Conner fell at No. 1 doubles, 4-8, while Berry and Crump dropped their match, 2-8, at No. 2 doubles. Reynolds and Richard also fell at No. 3 doubles, 1-8.
 
The Knights close out the 2008-09 campaign on Tuesday afternoon when they host Indiana Tech at Marian College Tennis Courts. The match is slated for 4 p.m. with the lone senior being recognized prior to the match.
