OWENSBORO, Kentucky - The Marian College women's golf team earned a fourth-place finish at the Kentucky Wesleyan College Fall Classic at The Summit Golf Course in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Junior Angela Gauck (Greensburg, Indiana/North Decatur) led the Knights with a second-place finish after she carded a two-day total of 157 (79-78).
Junior Kristen Welker (Kokomo, Indiana/Western) earned a ninth-place finish after she shot a 167 (86-81) while sophomore Lauren Nickoson (Cleves, Ohio/Taylor HS) earned a 12th-place finish with a 169 (82-87). Junior Krista Moore (Camby, Indiana/Decatur Central) rounded out the Knight lineup with a 188 (91-97).
The Knights finished fourth in a 12-team field with a 681 (338-343) while the University of Saint Francis (IN) earned the team crown with a 666 (342-324).
The Knights get back on the links in three weeks when they head to the Millikin Classic at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur, Illinois. The tournament is scheduled for September 27 and 28.
