Ashley grew up in Holland, Indiana and graduated from Southridge High School. After attending the University of Evansville (including time at Harlaxton College, University of Evansville's college campus in Grantham, England) and majoring in mass communication, she completed coursework for her master's degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Prior to coming to Marian University, she worked as an admission counselor at the University of Evansville and a library assistant at London South Bank University.

What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Rosary Walk. It's beautiful and peaceful.

What do you like best about Indianapolis?
I love that there is always something going on! Concerts, sporting events, museum exhibits, shopping, and tons of restaurants. There's never a dull moment.

Who would you rather have for a roommate—a zombie, a vampire, a gremlin, or bigfoot?
Bigfoot. He is the least scary out of the options. I am worried about his shedding, though.

Where would you most like to visit?
Machu Picchu, Peru. I'm interested in the history of Macchu Picchu, and I think the views would be breathtaking.

What is a favorite memory of your time at Marian University?
My favorite memory is commencement. It's incredible to see the hard work pay off for our students as they walk across the stage to receive their diplomas.

What advice would you offer to incoming freshmen?
Visit as many schools as possible and ask lots of questions!

What is one question that every student should ask during the college search?
Ask to take a tour of campus! Getting a feel for a campus is the best way to decide if it will be a good fit for you.
