Central Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair
(CIRSEF)

Marian University is pleased to once again host the Central Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair! Each year approximately 500 primary and secondary grade students gather to display their work and compete for advancement to higher level competition and other prizes.

Grades 1-5: Saturday, March 4, 2017; Registration due date: February 20, 2017
Grades 6-12: Saturday, March 11, 2017; Registration due date: February 20, 2017

Registration

  1. When to register school: As soon as you know, inform the CIRSEF director via email that your school will host a science fair and what grades are entering/participating, and the dates. This lets us begin to plan. Then, start entering students into the SEFI system. See below for a file with helpful instructions!

  2. Elementary (Grades 1-5): Regional will be hosted on Saturday, March 4, 2017. All registration must be completed by Monday, February 20, 2017.

  3. Junior (6-8) and Senior (9-12) Divisions: Regional will be hosted on Saturday, March 11, 2017. All registration must be completed by Monday, February 20, 2017.

    Registration Fees: The fee is $12 per student, not per project, and is due by the registration deadline. This fee is not refundable for students who withdraw from the fair after the deadline. When paying online, specify the school and student names in the shipping instructions.

Explore 55-acres of wetland designed by esteemed landscape architect Jen Jensen. We’ll grab some binoculars and go bird watching, see where a family of beavers make their home, and receive first-hand knowledge of native plants to Indiana. Bring appropriate shoes and be prepared for outdoor activity.
