Talent Award Audition Dates Announced for 2014-15

  • Saturday, November 22, 2014, 2-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 28, 2015, 2-4 p.m.

Talent Award for Theatre Arts

The Fine Arts Talent Award for Theatre Arts is available to students with outstanding abilities who agree to be active participants in the Marian University Theatre program. This award varies based on the level of commitment of the recipient and position openings within the Theatre for the current season.

Eligibility

Applicants for the Fine Arts Talent Award for Theatre Arts must:

Application Process

For Actors:

  • Complete the admissions process to Marian University.
  • Complete an on-campus audition consisting of two contrasting two-minute monologues.
  • Complete an on-campus interview with theatre faculty.

For Designers/Technicians:

  • Complete the admissions process to Marian University.
  • Submit five to ten images via email or CDR accompanied by short explanations describing student's participation in the creation of items featured in the images. (Costumes, lights, props, scenery, and sound). Examples of acceptable images include sketches, renderings, drafting, and photos.
  • Complete an on-campus interview with theatre faculty.

Note: If applicant is unable to schedule an on-campus visit, please contact Ben Tebbe at btebbe@marian.edu or 317.955.6236 for alternate audition/interview process.

Selection

Award recipients will be notified of their status in writing.

Renewal

The Fine Arts Talent Award for Theatre Arts is renewable annually based on full-time enrollment and successful fulfillment of the requirements outlined in the Marian University Theatre Arts Participation Agreement.
