For many families, back-to-school also means back-to-bullies; however, The Chris Lytle Foundation hopes to change that. Their mission is to stop bullies by empowering others to step in and stand up for those who can't stand for themselves. The Chris Lytle Foundation Fundraiser, hosted by Marian's Adult Programs (MAP) at Marian University, is a carnival-style, free-admission, and family-fun event with something for everyone to enjoy. All proceeds go to the Chris Lytle Foundation.
3649 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222
Family-fun entertainment includes a variety of carnival-style games, tug of war challenges, face-painting, 3 bounce houses, and a dunk tank. Grab lunch and sweet treats for the whole family from the food trucks on premises: Bacon Station, Rolling Asian Delight, Poccadio Food Truck (Moroccan Grill & Sandwiches), a dessert truck (TBD), and Kona Ice.
Hometown heroes from the Indianapolis Fire Department, local Police Departments, and the Indiana National Guard will be in attendance. The Indiana National Guard will run an obstacle course for those seeking a physical challenge. Children of all ages may explore rescue vehicles in a hands-on investigation.
Attendees have the opportunity to see celebrity guests, bid on the silent auction items, and purchase raffle tickets for donations from the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Fever, the Indy Eleven, and fighters from Ultimate Fighting Championship and Mixed Martial Arts.
Be sure to stop by the local businesses, community non-profits, and city resources taking part in the vendor fair. Businesses who wish to participate should contact Terry DeBruhl at (317) 224-6167 to reserve space.
