The Marian University Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership established in 2010 to prepare transformative school leaders is quickly becoming one of the premier advanced leadership programs in the United States. As an institutional member of both the George W. Bush Institute Alliance for Reform in Education Leadership (AREL) and the KIPP Leadership Design Fellowship (KLDF) of the KIPP Foundation, the academy is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people through powerful, transformative school leadership. The Marian University Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership prepares school leaders by recognizing, evaluating and supporting quality “next practices” in educational effectiveness. Pursuant to that end and under the leadership of Dr. Lindan Hill, Assistant Vice President for the Marian University Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership, Marian University is seeking candidates for the positions below beginning June 2013. The ideal candidates will bring a combination of practical experience, energy and vision that will be a transforming influence to the program.

Assistant Professor in Literacy and Reading Effectiveness
A Ph.D. in Literacy and Reading and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research are required. Candidates should have interest and background in Literacy and Literacy related subjects as well as performance evaluation of Literacy teachers.
Assistant Professor in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education
A Ph.D. in one of the STEM disciplines and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research are required. Candidates should have interest and background in STEM subjects as well as performance evaluation of STEM teachers.
Assistant Professor in Statistics and Program Evaluation
A Ph.D. in statistics, or behavioral statistics, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research are required. Candidates should have an interest in methodological research with applications in school leadership and student learning, as well as skill in developing and conducting overall program evaluation.
Assistant Professor in Catholic School Leadership
A Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Psychology, or Education Leadership with specific focus on Catholic School Education are required. Experience as a Catholic School teacher, administrator, or president is desirable.
