DESCRIPTION:Without flowers or leaves most people don&rsquo\;t think about
woody-plant identification.&nbsp\; In reality\, dormant plants provide lot
s of information about unique features between species.&nbsp\; Focusing on
twigs\, growth form\, buds and other features helps us piece together ide
ntifications.&nbsp\; The uniqueness between species is often amazing.&nbsp
\; The colors\, shapes and patterns that are found in the winter are just
as interesting\, or more so\, than leaf shapes and flowers during the grow
ing season.&nbsp\; Weather permitting\, the program will be partly outdoor
s\, so be sure to dress for the weather.&nbsp\; The program is open to all
ages and interest levels.&nbsp\; Meet at the Nina Mason Pulliam Nature Ce
nter at 4 p.m. and we will wrap up around 5:30 p.m. Cost: FREE RSVP to Jod
 y Nicholson (jnicholson@marian.edu) by February 26th
