Writer Michael Martone On Campus September 29 - 9/23/2009

The Department of Language and Communication will host a reading by award-winning author Michael Martone at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, in the Ruth Lilly Student Center Community Room.

Martone is the author of numerous collections of short fiction and creative non-fiction, many of which are set in Indiana. His most recent books include Not Normal, Illinois: Peculiar Fiction from the Flyover; Racing in Place: Collages, Fragments, Postcards, Ruins, a collection of essays; and Double-wide, his collected early stories. Martone is currently a professor at the University of Alabama where he has been teaching since 1996.
