The School of Nursing at Marian University, established in 1977, provides opportunities for students to participate in direct care of patients across the lifespan and in a variety of clinical settings.
The BSN program at Marian University builds on the liberal arts foundation. As students attain competencies in social and cultural awareness, they learn technical and assessment skills that combine to provide holistic care for their patients.
Nursing education includes the areas of health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, and illness management. The integration of concepts from nursing liberal arts and sciences provides a foundation that supports students in making sound clinical and ethical judgments, that will carry over into their professional practices.
