The School of Mathematics and Sciences (SOMAS) is designed to deliver three groups of courses: the non-majors science courses required of most students, the basic science courses for pre-nursing students, and the mathematics and sciences courses taken by all our undergraduate majors.  Our curriculum is based on providing our students with a broad-based foundation of mathematics, physics, and chemistry, after which they can begin to specialize in those areas of mathematics and science that are best tailored to their wants and needs.  Our goal is to prepare our students to move successfully into graduate school, professional school, or a career immediately upon graduation.
