Ryan was actively involved in the college’s green chemistry program, and he participated in intensive undergraduate research with Dr. Carl Lecher and Dr. Roderick Macrae. These experiences led him to paid summer internships at Indiana University School of Medicine and Dow AgroSciences.

In his current position at Colkata, Inc., a biology-based renewable energy company, he’s using breakthrough technology to convert waste into low-cost ethanol.
