Chris Wahl, Sport Management major, tackled an internship after his freshman year at Marian University. He worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) in the paid parking operations office. As an intern he assisted the operations coordinator as he supervised the parking of 30,000 cars during major racing events. He worked with non-profit organizations interested in volunteering during events. Wahl learned that a “real job” required energy, stamina, and co-operation with co-workers. This year Wahl is the paid parking operations coordinator for IMS, which is a permanent, part-time position. The future looks bright as Wahl uses this experience to build a great resume.
