Diocesan Employee Family Grant

Description

The Diocesan Employee Family Grant is an annually renewable grant for students, spouses, or dependent children of a parent who are fulltime employees of a Catholic diocese, including parish schools and agencies. We believe it is part of our mission as a Catholic university to be in the forefront of educating men and women who want to transform lives, society, and the world.

The grant will cover up to one half of the tuition cost each year, subject to the amount of other academic scholarships received.

Eligibility 

Applicants for the Diocesan Employee Family Grant must:

• Have completed the Marian University admissions application process and been admitted in good standing.

• Enroll in a traditional first bachelor degree program.

• Be an employee (non-volunteer), spouse, or dependent child of an employee who works full-time for the Catholic diocese, including parish schools and agencies.

• Commit to an educational experience framed within the context of Marian University’s Franciscan values of dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship.

Application Process

Applicants must complete and submit the above form by March 1, 2013.

Selection

Awards will be made and recipients will be notified with the initial financial aid package. The amount of the award will vary up to half tuition based on eligibility for other academic scholarships. The total of the Diocesan Employee Family Grant and any other institutional aid will not exceed half tuition.

Renewal

The Diocesan Employee Family Grant is renewable by:

• Submitting the above forms by March 1 each year.

• Remaining in good academic and social standing.
