dcsimg Academic Advising

Helping you succeed!

Academic Advising serves as a vital element to the education of students in Marian University’s School of Nursing.  Advising involves the development and communication of accurate information regarding degree requirements, courses, and resources available on campus.

Advisors explain university policies and procedures, and seek out opportunities to enhance the educational experience of their students in attaining their lifelong goals.

The foundation of the advising process begins with the relationship between advisor and student.  The academic advisors in the School of Nursing use counseling theory to guide their students to be successful in and outside of the classroom.  The advisor assists the students to review, select, and reach their aspirations in a professional, helpful, and respectful atmosphere.

Advisors work with students from the start of their Marian experience, before they even enroll in class, and then serve as a guide through graduation.

Marian University School of Nursing is committed to providing quality advising service to students.
