Auxiliary Bishop of Indianapolis Christopher Coyne will deliver the second Bishop Simon Bruté Lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Mother Theresa Hackelmeier Memorial Library Auditorium on the campus of Marian University. His lecture is titled "The Year of Faith and the New Evangelization: Vatican II Continued."
"The Marian University community welcomes Bishop Christopher Coyne back to campus for this important lecture—particularly during this Year of Faith, when we recall the historic moment that Vatican II was for our Church,” said Marian University President Daniel J. Elsener. “It is a special privilege to have Bishop Coyne share with us ‘a young bishop's perspective’ on the magnificent, forward-looking teaching that was promulgated by the Council fathers—in full continuity with 2000 years of Catholic faith and practice. We urge all members of our archdiocesan family to join us for this wonderful evening of prayer and reflection!"
This lecture is co-sponsored by the Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary and the Marian University Department of Theology and Philosophy.
