Advanced Study Program 

Academically outstanding students accepted to the Advanced Study Program may enroll at Marian University for selected credit courses on the 100-level during their senior year of high school. Under the Advanced Study Program (also known as a dual credit program), a student may accumulate up to 24 credit hours prior to enrolling as a full-time college freshman.

Enrollment in this program does not commit the student to Marian University after high school graduation. Credits obtained from Marian University are usually accepted for credit by other colleges and universities provided the student achieves at least a C grade in the respective courses.

Requirements 

  • Junior or senior in high school between the ages of 16-19
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.30 +
  • SAT score of 910 (comprised of critical reading and math scores only) and/or ACT score of 19
  • A letter of recommendation from high school principal or guidance counselor

Cost

For the 2010-11 academic year, the cost for high school students participating in the Advanced Study Program is only $50 per credit hour.
